When digital coloring books come as multi-page PDFs, you might not want to print every page at once. Maybe you’re working through a themed section, or you’ve already printed part of the book and just need a few missing pages.
Here’s how to print only the pages you want—no extra apps, no guesswork.
On Desktop (Windows or Mac)
Using Adobe Acrobat Reader
- Open your PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader (free version works fine).
- Click File > Print.
- In the print dialog, look for Pages or Page Range.
- Enter the specific pages you want to print:
- Single page: 4
- Multiple pages: 2, 5, 7
- Page range: 3–6
- Click Print.
Using Preview (Mac)
- Open the PDF in Preview.
- Go to File > Print.
- Under Pages, select From: [x] to [y] or Selected Pages.
- Review the print preview, then click Print.
On iPad or iPhone (iOS)
- Open your PDF in Files, Books, or Adobe Acrobat.
- Tap the Share icon, then choose Print.
- In the printer settings, tap Range or Page Options.
- Enter the pages you want to print.
- Tap Print.
Note: Apple’s native tools don’t always support custom ranges for PDFs. For full control, use Adobe Acrobat Reader or another third-party app.
On Android Devices
- Open your PDF in a viewer app like Adobe Acrobat, Xodo, or Google Drive.
- Tap the three-dot menu and choose Print.
- Select your printer.
- Tap Pages or Page Range, then enter your desired page numbers.
- Tap Print.
Pro Tips
- Always preview before printing to confirm the right pages are selected.
- Use PDF page numbers, not the document’s printed page numbers—sometimes they don’t match.
- If you only need one page for digital coloring, export that page as an image instead of printing it.
Printing select pages saves ink, paper, and time. Whether you’re focusing on a favorite design or working section by section, knowing how to control your page output gives you more flexibility with your digital downloads.
